It’s finally happened, ColourPop launched pressed powder shadows, and they are phenomenal! If you caught my Super Shock Shadow post, then you know I’m not really fond of their OG eyeshadow formula. They are pretty, but not my style texture wise. These pressed beauties are pigmented, smooth, and so hard to resist!
Like most of their other products, the pressed shadows retail for just five bucks. There are over 70 shades in the lineup, ranging from creamy beige, to rich teal. I branched out of my comfort zone, and snagged some brights, as well as some gorgeous neutrals!
WAKE UP CALL
I love me a good transition shade! Wake Up Call is a stunning mid-tone brown with slight pink undertones. It’s matte, super smooth, and blends effortlessly.
I own about 100 shades like this, but they are my weakness! This metallic pale pink is creamy, easy to blend, and contains the most finely milled shimmer.
COME AND GET IT
This duo chrome is perfection! At the base, it’s a stunning purpely pink, with the shift it has hints of gold. It has the same smooth texture as the others, and the pigmentation is amazing.
WAIT FOR IT
This shade is described as a matte hot pink. I knew I had nothing like it in my collection, so I had to have it. It’s incredibly pigmented, so a teeny tiny bit goes a long way. But, it’s easy to blend, and it’s oh so creamy!
Another hot matte, only this one is coral. It’s got the same intense color payoff as Wait For It, and blends like a dream. I love this for adding a pop of color to my outer corner!
The texture, pigmentation, and performance of these shadows was consistent with every shade. I’m not sure what voo-doo magic ColourPop did with this formula, but they are incredible! The empty palette you see above was free (when you bought 4+), but sadly I no longer see that promo. I’m hoping they bring it back though, the palettes are sturdy and really cute!
