I’m kicking the week off with a hair care review! I’ve been obsessed with hair products since my pre-teen years, when I begged my mom to buy the best smelling shampoos on the shelf. Fast forward 20 years, and my bathroom is still filled with all different formulas and brands. The latest line to reach my shower doors, is White Sands. This family owned brand offers products for every hair type, including frizzy messes like mine 😉
White Sands offers a few different shampoo and conditioner formulas, each one catering to different needs. Since it’s the height of the summer, I decided to try Orchid Bliss. It’s formualted to hydrate strands, while closing the cuticle layer, to help combat frizz. The unique orchid complex fills in hairs imperfections, leaving behind vibrant color and brilliant shine.
WHITE SANDS ORCHID BLISS
Retailing for $20 (9.5 fl oz), the Orchid Bliss shampoo features a soft floral scent, and an easy to apply formula. Although it’s sulfate free, the formula suds up really easily and washes away without residue. It’s also great for dry hair, as it doesn’t leave strands feeling stripped or parched.
The conditioner retails for $21 (9.5 fl oz), and also promises to fight frizz while leaving hair shiny and moisturized. It has a thin texture, so a little more is needed for long haired beauties. It instantly detangles, and easily washes away leaving silky soft strands.
Both the shampoo and conditioner have worked wonderfully in my fine, frizzy, sort of wavy hair. I can go my usual three days between washings, without much grease, and my hair has been smooth and easier to manage.
POROSITY THE FIX
I was so excited to try this product! If you follow me on Snap Chat or Instagram, then you know I recently made a huge change to my hair. I chopped off ten inches, and added caramel bayalage. Porosity the fix ($19.40/4 fl oz), is not only formulated to nourish processed hair, but it’s actually called makeup for hair. Like a foundation or concealer, it’s designed to fill in blemishes, creating the illusion of flawless undamaged tresses. Pretty awesome right?!
The spray itself is a fine mist, that can be used on damp or dry hair. When hair is damp, spray a small amount, then style as usual. When hair is dry, you can spray all over for added shine, or you can spray onto your hands then style, for added texture. It doesn’t weigh down fine strands, and it leaves behind a slight hint of floral fragrance.
If you’re in need of a hair pick me up, I highly suggest White Sands! The shampoo and conditioner have pumps, so there’s no squeezing out every last drop, and the Porosity spray instantly adds shine and bounce. To learn more, head over to their site!
