Hi there, beauties! As a blogger, I’m often asked if joining affiliate networks is worth it. Although some don’t offer much incentive, the folks at Rakuten make sure to reward their influencers. I was lucky enough to receive my second Bloomingdale’s Bonus Box, and just like last time, it does not disappoint!
WHAT IS RAKUTEN?
Before I jump into the box, here’s a quick rundown on Rakuten. It’s an affiliate marketing network, that connects advertisers with online publishers. Affiliate links are used on all kinds of websites, and are widely popular among bloggers. It doesn’t cost the shopper anything, but when the link is clicked (and a purchase is made), the publisher gets a small commission.
Any time an affiliate link is used on Collective Beauty, a disclosure is made at the top of the post – per FTC guidelines. The commission made, helps keep this little space on the internet up and running. After all, blogging isn’t cheap 😉
RAKUTEN BLOOMINGDALE’S BONUS BOX
Now that we’ve covered the network, and what affiliate links are, let’s get into the box! Every so often, as a thank you to their publishers, Rakuten sends out bonus boxes. Since makeup and beauty is the theme around here, I was chosen to receive the Bloomingdale’s Bonus Box. Last year’s edition was jam packed with high end goodies, and this year’s box is no exception.
As you all know, I’ve got a few favorite places to shop for makeup, and one of them is Bloomingdale’s. I’m a Loyalist member, so beauty purchases are always shipped free, and the selection of brands is top notch.

PMD PERSONAL MICRODERM PRO $199
The star of the show, is the PMD Personal Microderm Pro device. This at-home microdermabrasion tool, promises to deliver the same amazing results as professional treatments. It works by gently exfoliating the skin with spinning discs, while also cleansing the pores by drawing out dirt and oil.
With weekly use, you’ll start to see diminished fine lines, clearer pores, and more even skin and texture. I cannot wait to dive in, and give this baby a try!
VICTOR & ROLFE BON BON EAU DE TOILETTE (BLOOMINGDALE’S EXCLUSIVE) $95
How cute is this bottle?! I’m a scent addict, so I was super stoked to see this Victor & Rolfe fragrance. It’s a Bloomingdale’s exclusive, and features notes of pink sugar, grapefruit, caramel, and crystallized jasmine. It’s light, sweet, and perfect for everyday!
MON GUERLAIN EAU DE PARFUME $94
For those that prefer a deeper, more sultry scent, they also included the new Mon Guerlain perfume. The notes include lavender, sandalwood, jasmine, and vanilla for a woodsy scent that’s perfect for nighttime. The bottle is also stunning, and makes for a perfect vanity accessory!
SISLEY PARIS PHYTO-EYE TWIST IN TOPAZE $50
If you’re a regular around here, then you know I adore cream eyeshadows, especially in stick form! This stunning bronze glides effortlessly across the lids, and never tugs or pulls. It blends easily with your finger, or a synthetic blending brush, and wears all day without creasing or fading, even without a primer.
WEI SKINCARE MASKS $12/EACH
Also included are two skincare masks from Wei. One is for stress relief, while the other is for illuminating. Each tube contains one mask, designed to be fitted to the face, and is to be left on for 10 minutes. The stress relief formula helps eliminate toxins, while also clearing blemishes. While the illuminating mask promises to reduce the look of dark spots, creating a brighter, more glowing complexion.
CLINIQUE FRESH PRESSED 7-DAY VITAMIN C SYSTEM $76.50
I love the concept of this product! Included in this set, is 7 days worth of Vitamin C, that you simply mix in with your current moisturizer. You can use it both day and night, for a brighter, more even, younger looking complexion. Since pure vitamin C degrades when exposed to oxygen, getting it this way (in its pure form), is the best way to ensure the best results possible!
KIEHL’S NOURISHING SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER $20
A combo shampoo/conditioner isn’t a product I’d use on my hair type, but it works perfect for my 4-year old daughter. Especially, since she likes to fuss and complain during hair washing. It’s also designed to remove product buildup, leaving the scalp refreshed and thoroughly cleansed. My daughter has super fine curls, so I often use hairsprays, curl creams, and gels, and this product removes all the residue perfectly!
KIEHL’S CALENDULA & ALOE SOOTHING HYDRATION MASQUE $45
Another Kiehl’s product is this soothing masque, formulated to calm and hydrate skin. It has a gel-like texture, and a light fresh scent. I’ve got dry skin, so I’m excited to use a product with aloe in it.
TRISH MCEVOY CLEANSING WATER $49
Last, but certainly not least, is this cleansing water from Trish McEvoy. It’s formulated to gently remove all trashes of makeup, from the lids, lashes, lips, and face. It can sting my eyes if I’m not careful, but it’s gentle on my dry skin, and never leaves it feeling parched or tight. The tall, thin packaging is easy to travel with, and it’s free of parabens and oil.
So, there we have it! The current Rakuten Blookmingdale’s Bonus Box. If you’re an online publisher, and you want to join a new affiliate network, I highly suggest Rakuten. Who knows, maybe you’ll score one of their next boxes! 😉
