Beauty Talk Tuesday: Amrezy Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills

Amrezy Palette

Amrezy by Anastasia Beverly Hills

My palette addiction has been in overdrive lately.  Every time I think I have all that I need, another amazing set is released. Seriously, someone needs to stop me before I own enough eyeshadow to get me through the apocalypse  😯 lol. This gorgeous limited edition palette (why are the best products always LE?!) is packed with buttery smooth neutrals that are prefect for creating warm fall looks.

Created in collaboration with world famous makeup artist Amra Olevic, or @Amrezy on , this palette contains 10 eyeshadows and a double ended eyeshadow brush. It’s limited to ULTA stores and online, and retails for $29 US. When compared to similar palettes from LORAC or Too Faced, Anastasia is always a better bargain.

This palette is divided into satin finish shades in the top row, and matte shades on the bottom. The first three are Legend, Glisten and Topaz. They are nicely pigmented, smooth in texture and blend well on the lids. They can be a bit powdery though, so you’ll have to tap off your brush before applying them. Otherwise, you’ll be left with a face full of fallout. Glisten and Legend look particularly amazing over a luminous base like the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pure Nude, swoon!

The next three shades are Iridescent Purple, Emerald, and Vanilla. Words cannot express my love for Iridescent purple, it’s oh so pretty and pigmented! But, again you’ll have to watch for fallout as this is very powdery. The same goes for Emerald, which also has a creamy texture and terrific color payoff. Vanilla is the first of the matte shades and makes for a great brow highlight or blending shade. Its texture is a bit drier than the satin shades, but I find it works well on the lids.

Finally, we have warm toned matte shades, which in my opinion are what make this palette so lovely. Caramel, Morocco and Deep Plum are amazing crease or outer v shades. They are smooth, pigmented and don’t produce loads of fallout like the satin shades. Lastly, we have  LBD, a matte black that’s a staple for sultry smokey eyes. It’s not the most intense black shadow I’ve used, but it works well for darkening the crease, and again I didn’t have any issues with fallout.

I have absolutely loved using this palette over the past two weeks! You can create soft looks appropriate for day, or dark dramatic eyes perfect for a night out. Plus, since this palette contains both a matte brow highlight and a matte black, it works great on its own without having to reach for other products.

THE LOOK:

To create this look I used Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pure Nude as a base, then applied Legend in the inner corner and first half of my lid. I placed Iridescent Purple on the outer part of my lid, Morocco in my crease and a tiny bit of Deep Plum to darken the crease.

If you’ve had your eye on this palette, I suggest purchasing it before it’s too late. It’s still in stock online here! Also, if you want to see another look I created with this palette, check out last week’s Friday FOTD. Happy shopping, beauties!
